Après la décision volte-face incompréhensible, injuste, arbitraire, de la municipalité de ne verser aucune subvention à notre association pour la saison en cours, fédérons-nous et montrons-leur que le volley-ball est un sport spectaculaire dans tous les sens du terme !!!
Nous vous tiendrons au courant dans les prochains jours de la lettre ouverte que nous allons adresser au Maire de Marseille ainsi qu’à son nouvel adjoint au sport.

Une victoire d’équipe qui change tout pour les Cambrésiens !
Au terme d’un interminable suspense, le CVEC a finalement réalisé une superbe opération hier soir à Vanpoulle, une victoire qui les assure presque du maintien et peut-être même des play-offs.
Malgré sa mauvaise entame de match (2-0, 5-3), Marseille, qui restait sur deux défaites, ne s’affolait pas. Aidés par un début de match tronqué par de nombreuses fautes, les visiteurs recollaient sans encombre avant de commencer à titiller les Cambrésiens : 11-12, 13-14. Mais le premier break provençal (13-15) allait avoir le don de réveiller les locaux. Doué au contre ramenant l’égalité, Keita jusqu’alors très peu trouvé par ses partenaires en pointe, remettait le CVEC dans le bon chemin : 16-15. Dynamisés, les Cambrésiens enchaînaient ensuite en contre et un ace et Marseille était cloué sur place (18-15). Mais comme d’habitude, alors qu’ils avaient toutes les cartes en main pour empocher tranquillement les gains du premier set (20-16, 21-17), les Nordistes se remettaient à trembler (21-19). Bry, jusqu’alors peu en vue, en profitait pour refaire surface (22-21, 23-23). Et Kerboua pour calmer la salle (23-24)... avant de la ranimer en trouvant le filet sur son service (24-24). Revenus dans la partie, les partenaires de Péris se voyaient ensuite offrir quatre balles de match. Mais ce n’allait être que sur la cinquième, et après que Marseille en hérite d’une seconde (28-29), que Cambrai allait pouvoir souffler (32-30).
La tête dans le sac, les visiteurs manquaient alors complètement leur entame de deuxième set (5-0), mais emmenés par un Bry enfin chaud, ils allaient petit à petit revenir dans la partie (6-3, 8-6, 9-9). Tout était à refaire pour Cambrai, privé en plus de sa pointe, blessé. Dans un match à nouveau très tendu, un terrible mano à mano s’engageait alors (10-12, 14-12, 16-16, 20-20, 22-22). Et sur la sixième balle de set, Marseille trouvait finalement l’égalisation, sur un superbe contre de Kerboua (28-30). Parti pour battre des records de longueur, ce match, annoncé comme décisif à trois journées de la fin, tenait donc toutes ses promesses. D’autant que la troisième manche allait étrangement ressembler à la deuxième.
Après avoir mené 5-2, Cambrai se faisait remonter (10-10). Et un nouveau match ultra-disputé voyait le jour (13-12, 15-15, 17-17, 22-21, 22-22). Mais à la différence des deux précédents sets toutefois, la première balle de match allait être la bonne. Ragaillardi par deux contres de Ces, (23-23, 24-23) la « pile » Naveteur au centre faisait, en effet, exploser de joie les Cambrésiens : 25-23. Un peu trop peut-être même, car derrière, ils manquaient totalement leur entame de set (2-6). Et cet avantage, les Sudistes, eux, allaient parfaitement le gérer (7-12, 9-16, 11-19, 14-23, 16-25). La route du maintien, voire même des play-offs, au bout du tie-break, Cambrai puisait alors dans ses ressources mentales et physiques pour tenter de s’y engouffrer (3-1, 6-3, 8-5). Mais Marseille et Bry s’accrochaient (8-7). Et terriblement bien, car ils trouvaient le break. Mais au terme d’un incroyable suspense, c’est finalement Péris qui libérait Vanpoulle (17-15). Énorme !

L'Egypte a battu l'Algérie hier soir en finale du tournoi qualificatif aux JO zone Afrique par 3 sets à 2 après un match difficile. C'est donc l'Egypte qui participera aux JO.
Un grand bravo à Ali et ses co-équipiers pour leur très beau parcours dans ce tournoi.

Egypt to Beijing Olympic Games
Durban, South Africa February 9, 2008- After a very exciting final, Egypt secured the African ticket to 2008 Beijing Olympic games following their victory over Algeria in a thriller five set match lasting for two hours of skillful volleyball action that made the spectators very excited her at Tongaat hall in Durban, South Africa on Saturday.
After it was clear that Egypt was going towards a three straight sets victory in their final against Algeria when they were 5 points ahead at the end of the third set, the Algerian team did the miracle and won the set followed by the fourth set to extend the match to tiebreak which increased the interest of the spectators who filled the competition hall.
As it was the day of thrills the third place match went also to tiebreak as Cameroon came from two sets behind to win their match against Tunisia 3-2 after great effort from all Cameroon stars led by the Japan based spiker Jean Ndaki.
Egypt vs. Algeria
Egypt players relaxed for few minutes that could end their hopes of Olympic ticket when they were two sets ahead and leading at the end of the third set before Algeria emerged and won two sets to extend the match to tiebreak which was won by the experience of the Egyptians. It took 127 minutes from the Egyptians to win the tough match 3-2 (26-24, 25-20, 25-27, 22-25, 15-9) due to the experience of the stars Hamdy El Safi, Ahmed Salah and Saleh Fathy in the critical time.
Both teams started the match with the outstanding line up and they used at the start the strong spikes of the wing spikers from positions 2 and 4. Egypt started leading 3-2 after the spike service of Salah. Egypt blocked well the spikes of Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi to lead 8-6 at the first technical time out (FTT). Algeria used again the spike service of Kerboua and the hits of Chikhi in position 2 to come near again until Egypt led narrowly at the second technical time out 16-15. Egypt continued using the block to defend the Algerian spikes and led 21-19 but Algeria returned back through the spike service and hits from position 4 to draw 22-22, then they led 24-23. The Egyptian captain Hamdy El Safi did again a good job in spiking from position 4 to en the set 26-24.
The second set showed Algerian dominance in the first few points through the efficient spikes of Chikhi and Kerboua to lead 8-7. Egypt came back with the spike service Salah and Safi and changed the strategy to depend on the fast attacks through the middle blockers to lead 16-14 at the STT. The Algerian defense showed many mistakes and thus Egypt succeeded to win widely 25-20.
The third set was the most exciting in the match as Egypt started leading after they arranged the attacks through the experienced left attacker El Safi and the efficient opposite Salah to lead 8-6 at the FTT. Algerian coach made many substitutions as he replaced his main setter Messaoud by Yocef Zerouki and he pushed Behallal in the field but Egypt stayed ahead 16-13 at the STT. When the Egyptian team showed that they are going towards a straight sets victory after leading 20-16, they lost the balance completely and began to commit frequent reception mistakes to allow Algeria to draw and then lead 24- 23 before the Egyptians suddenly came on to draw but Algerian players were motivated enough to win the set which turned the match 27-25.
The fourth set showed more concentration form the Algerian players who have become more motivated to win the match and thus they used the disturbance in the Egyptian reception to lead 8-7 after good spikes also from Rachid Benhellal and Kerboua. Algeria used again their well known service to continue leading 16-15 at the STT. After some reception and digging mistakes from the Egyptian players, Algeria used the potent service as well as the spikes of Chikhi and Benhellal to lead 20-18 and then 23-21 before they ended the exciting set 25-22 and extend the match to tie break.
The Tiebreak showed early Egyptian dominance when the left attacker Fathy and El Safi did good job to lead 6-5 and 8-7 at the turn of the court. After the turn Egypt led the court completely and succeeded to use the experience of the stars to win 15-9 and the long Marathon 3-2. |

Hier à Durban, en Afrique du Sud, l’Algérie a battu la Tunisie dans une demi-finale serrée. Notre joueur Ali Kerboua va donc jouer la finale cet après-midi contre l’Egypte pour tenter de gagner la qualification africaine pour les Jeux Olympiques de Pékin.

Egypt and Algeria to final spot
Durban, South Africa February 8, 2008- After a very exciting day fully attended by the spectators Egypt and Algeria qualified to the final spot of the African Olympic qualification to determine continental representative in Beijing 2008 after the North African neighbors cut their way towards the Olympic ticket following their victories over Cameroon and Tunisia respectively in the semifinal here at Tongaat hall in Durban, South Africa on Friday.
Egypt and Algeria will meet on Saturday to determine the African representative in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games where the Egyptian side is searching for the second Olympic qualification in 8 years after they qualified for the last time in Sydney 2000, while Algerian men want to follow the footsteps of their women’s counterparts who have already qualified early last month. The final will be preceded by the bronze medal match between Tunisia and Cameroon.
It is well known that the champions of this competition will secure the African Vacancy in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. [...]
Algeria vs. Tunisia
Algeria fought for two hours to achieve the biggest qualifications surprise as they defeated one of the major favorites for the Olympic ticket, Tunisia in a big five sets match 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 15-8). Algeria qualified to the final of a big African competition for the first time since 15 years when they won the African Nations Championship in 1993. The Algerian teams used the big guns Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi to disturb the Tunisian defense all through the match. On the other hand Tunisia started the match with their well known strength to win the first set but due to the deterioration of the reception and block Algeria had the upper hand until the end of the match.
Both teams started the match with the standing line up and with the same strategy, but Tunisia was the better side as they led 4-0 after a group of spikes from Marouane Fehri and Hichem Kaabi putting the Algerian coach under pressure of asking for time out. Algeria arranged their block and defense and got the same points like Tunisia at the FTT as Tunisia led 8-4. Algeria began to use the two strong left attackers Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi to decrease the point deficit to 13-10 before Tunisia reached to 16-12 at the STT. The Algerian block did a good job for a while through the centers Mohamed Oumessad and Toufik Belaid so the result reached to 20-18. Tunisia regained their intelligence of spiking the balls beside and above the block and continued till they won the set 25-22.
Algeria started to use their well known strong spike service of Kerboua as well as the spikes of Chikhi to lead 4-1. The Tunisian reception and digging was disturbed for a while but rapidly rearranged to stop the Algerian attacks and regained the lead at the FTT 8-7. Tunisia changed the strategy and started to use the fast attacks through the centers Ghezal and Bilel Ben Hassine to lead 12-10, but Algeria arranged their block and also depended on the fast combinations from position 3 and led 16-15 at the STT. Algerian block was superior and allowed them to maintain leading 21-19 specially after the combinations led by the setter Debbih Messaoud. Chikhi and Toufik Madjoubi spiked intelligently through the Tunisian block to win the set 25-22.
Algeria started the third set as the better side while Tunisia complained of bad reception and thus Algeria led 8-6 at the first technical time out (FTT). Both team depended on the middle blocker for the attacks and the Algerian side was better in this specially they showed better defense and they led 16-14 at the second technical time out (STT). The Tunisian coach made some substitutions and replaced Kaabi by Karamosli so they came near till 19-18. Kerboua led Algeria with his spikes from position 4 and also his spike service to allow his team to win the set 25-22.
The Tunisian coach started the fourth set with the other setter Saifeddine El Majid instead of the team captain Ghazi Guidara and also Karamosli as right attacker instead of Kaabi. Tunisia regained their concentration and started leading 8-5 at the FTT due to the impermeable block and the potent spikes led by the setter El Majid. Tunisian block of Ben Hassine, Ghezal and Fehri was better so they increased the point deficit to 11-7. Tunisia used the disturbed Algerian defense to stay leading 16-11. Algeria tried to return back to the set but Tunisia was more organized in attack and defense to win the set 25-20 and drew 2-2 in sets to extend the match to tiebreak
Algeria used the weapon of spike service of Kerboua to lead 8-1 at the court shift using the improper Tunisian reception. Algeria continued their superiority through the fast attacks of the centers in position 3 to increase the point deficit to 13-3. Tunisia tried to save the match and scored 5 points but the Algerian more relaxed players did it and won the tiebreak 15-8 and the match 3-2. [...] |

L’autre demi-finale verra s’affronter l’Egypte (vainqueur du groupe B) et le Cameroun.

Tunisia secure the fourth ticket to semifinal
Durban, South Africa February 7, 2008- Tunisia completed the final 4 teams qualified to the semifinal of the Africa Olympic qualification to determine continental representative in Beijing 2008 after the other three teams Egypt, Cameroon and Algeria have already secured semifinal berth before. Tunisia defeated Gabon in Pool B while Morocco lost their hopes of a semifinal ticket after losing against Egypt in the fifth and last day of the preliminary round here at Tongaat hall in Durban, South Africa on Thursday.
In a tough match determining the first and second positions of pool A Algeria defeated Cameroon in one of the competition’s most exciting matches, while the organizers South Africa left the competition with a victory over Rwanda.
At the end of pool stage Algeria led pool A followed by Cameroon and both qualified to the semifinal, then South Africa third, Nigeria fourth and Rwanda fifth. Egypt finished at the top of pool B followed by Tunisia and both qualified followed by Morocco third, Gabon fourth and Mozambique fifth. [...]
Cameroon vs. Algeria
Algeria achieved a big surprise when they defeated Cameroon 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19) in 91 minutes in the big match for the top of pool A. Algeria ended the pool stage at the first position with a win- loss ratio of 4-0 to and 8 points leaving Cameroon in the second position with a record of 3-1 and 7 points but both secured the semifinal tickets of the pool. Algeria was dominant in the match through their strong spike services which were not tolerated by the Cameroon team which was out of form.
Algeria started the match as the better side and they surprised Cameroon team with their potent service of Toufik Mahdjoubi, Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi to disturb their reception and defense. Cameroon bad reception was the main cause to lose the first set 25-21.
In the second set Algeria concentrated on the attacks specially through the left attackers Kerboua and Chikhi so they kept their dominance all through until they won the set 25-21.
Cameroon head coach Mayam Blaise made substitutions as he changed the setter Marcel Ndaki by the other setter George Kapi and also put the wing spiker Valery Tatsi in the squad instead of Wounembaina. They succeeded to rearrange their reception and backline defense to lead in most of the set and finished the set 25-21.
In the fourth set the battle was very warm as Algeria used as usual their big gun Kerboua who used well the skillful setting of the setter Debbih Messaoud to lead 7-5. Cameroon rebounded through the spikes of Valery Tatsi and Wounembaina but Algeria led narrowly 8-7. Cameroon coach substituted the setter George Kari by Marcel Ndaki, but Algeria kept their dominance until they reached to 16-13 at the STT. Algeria used as usual the big guns Kerboua and Chikhi to increase the attacking pressure and widen the point deficit gradually. The service was also a big force for the Algerians who used the improper reception of Cameroon team and continued leading till they won the set 25-19 to win the match 3-1. |

Hier encore, dans le tournoi qualificatif aux JO 2008 en Afrique du Sud, l’Algérie a gagné 3-0 contre le Ruanda, se qualifiant ainsi pour les demi-finales avant même de jouer le match cet après-midi contre le Cameroun (également qualifié pour les demi-finales). Dans l’autre poule, l’Eqypte est sûr d’être en demi-finale, et la quatrième équipe qualifiée sera soit la Tunisie, soit le Maroc.

Egypt, Cameroon and Algeria to semis
Durban, South Africa February 6, 2008- Three teams out of four secured their places in the semifinal spot of the Africa Olympic qualification to determine continental representative in Beijing 2008 as Cameroon, Algeria and Egypt already qualified leaving only one place after the fourth day of the competition and one day before the end of the group stage here at Tongaat hall in Durban, South Africa on Wednesday.
The last place in the semifinal will be determined between Tunisia and Morocco at the end of the preliminary round during the fifth day of the competition on Thursday. The three qualifiers secured their place after each of them achieved the third victory with clean sheet. Cameroon defeated Nigeria while Algeria won Rwanda in pool A and both lead the pool with 6 points. Egypt pulled of the third victory in Pool B and finished on top of the pool, while Morocco took over Gabon to keep their hopes of a semifinal vacancy competing with Tunisia which was in a rest day for the final ticket.
Rwanda vs. Algeria
Algeria continued their clean sheet and clinched their third victory over Rwanda 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-17) in 66 minutes to secure a place in the semifinal. Algeria improved their record to 3-0 to lead Pool A with Cameroon with 6 points while Rwanda dropped to 0-3 at the bottom of the pool.
Algeria started by the usual line up and was the dominant side through the strong spikers Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi who succeeded to penetrate the Rwandan block that couldn’t withstand and so Algeria led 8-4 and continued their superiority through the solid block against the Rwandan attacks to win the set 25-17.
Again Rwanda complained from the bad reception that was used by the Algerian team through the fast combination directed by the setter Debbih Messaoud and Algeria led 8-6. Rwanda started to use the backline spikes through Guma Yakan to deceive the Algerian block and also the strong spikes of Eric Nsabimana from position 4 but the Algerian block quickly arranged their position but after Rwanda scored many points to decrease the point deficit to 16-12 at the STT. Rwanda continued their attacking strategy to stay near but the better Algerian block succeeded to keep the lead until they won the set 25-19.
Algeria again had the upper hand in the third set as they took care of the service as well as the block. Kerboua and Chikhi again did well and Algeria kept leading all the time. The Algerian coach made many substitutions to give the chance to some bench players and he succeeded to continue the same till they won the set 25-17 and the match in straight sets. |

Durban, South Africa February 5, 2008- The third day of the Africa Olympic qualification for the continental ticket in Beijing 2008 passes without surprises as all the big teams Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Nigeria clinched their victories over their opponent Gabon, Mozambique, South Africa and Rwanda here at Tongaat hall in Durban, South Africa on Tuesday . Cameroon stayed at the head of Pool A although they were in a rest day with 4 points same like Algeria. Tunisia led Pool B with 5 points in three matches ahead of Egypt that have 4 points in two matches.
It is well known that the champions of this competition will secure the African Vacancy in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. [...]
Algeria vs. South Africa
The host team missed two set points in the third set against Algeria to allow the Algerians to win in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 26-24) in 67 minutes in front of a full house at Tongaat hall. Algeria achieved their second victory in 2 matches to improve their record to 2-0 and share the leadership of pool A with Cameroon, while South Africa’s record becomes 1-2.
The match started point by point until Algeria led narrowly 8-7 at the FTT as both teams deployed their block against the attacks of the opponent. The Algerian team showed good performance from the two left attackers Mohamed Chikhi and Ali Kerboua who did well in spiking and serving. On the other hand South Africa depended as usual on the skills of the experienced setter Gershon Rorich and the attackers Freedom Chiya and Thokozani Ntuli who did well. The reception was the greatest problem for South Africa so Algeria concentrated on the strong spike services of Chikhi and Tawfik Mahdjoubi and succeeded to win the first set 25-18.
The second set showed improvement in reception and attacks of South Africa team so they stayed near all through the set until Kerboua and Chichi settled the situation to their side 25-20.
South Africa tried to adjust the block through Naidoo Leslie and Subendren Govendor but still Algeria was the better side due to the skills of the attackers Kerboua and Chikhi as well as the middle blockers Salah Saidi and Amine Oumessad so they led 8-6 and 16-11. South Africa tried to save the match and played their best in the competition when their coach Abdel Hamid El Wassimy made some substitutions that turned the match as South Africa came from 18-22 to score 6 successive points to lead 24-22 where they lost two set points to lose the set 26-24 and Algeria won the match 3-0. La bataille décisive pour le quota olympique africain de volley-ball s'est ouverte en beauté dimanche au Tongart Hall de Durban, en Afrique du Sud. Pour ce premier jour du tournoi qualificatif masculin on a assisté à une série de matchs passionnants, marqués par les victoires des poids lourds du continent.
La Tunisie, qui est la grande favorite de ce tournoi, a infligé une cuisante défaite au Maroc 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-16) en 67 minutes. Pendant ce temps, l'Algérie balayait le Nigéria 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-20). Le pays hôte s'est quant à lui incliné face aux Lions du Cameroun 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-22) en 67 minutes. Le Gabon a été, lui, l'auteur de la première grande surprise de la compétition en surclassant le Mozambique 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-22) en 70 minutes.

Durban, South Africa February 3, 2008- The big battle to determine the African Olympic ticket started with very exciting matches as all the big forces achieved victories in the first day of the Men’s African Olympic Qualifications here at Tongart Hall in Durban, South Africa on Sunday. The big favorite to the Olympic ticket Tunisia took over their neighbors Morocco in the first day’s most exciting match, while Algeria swept the strong Nigerian team in another big face of. The organizers South Africa lost their first match against the lions of Cameroon, while Gabon was the opening surprise as they clinched an important victory over Mozambique after a brave performance. Nigeria vs. Algeria
It was a very tough match when Algeria took over Nigeria in straight sets (25-19, 25-13, 25-20) after great performance from the match stars Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi who didn’t allow the Nigerians to breathe for 61 minutes. [...]
The match showed a very exciting start from both teams as the Algerian setter Debbih Messaoid succeeded to use the combinations by the net that helped the team to lead through strong spikes of Ali Kerboua and Mohamed Chikhi to lead 8-5 by the first technical time out. Nigeria also used the strong spikes of Isaac Ijigba and Jonah Adamu to come near but Algeria was leading also 16-14 at the STT. The Algerian combinations succeeded to deceive the Nigerian block and thus Algeria won the set 25-19.
The second set showed Algerian dominance through the strong spike service of Kerboua and Chikhi that disturbed the Nigerian defense and helped the Algerians to go comfortably 8-3 and then 16-7 after a group of successful spikes by Amine Oumessad and Tawkik Belaid. Nigeria tried to adjust the block against the Algerian hits but they failed and Algeria won the set 25-13 and made it 2-0.
In the third set Nigeria tried to save the match as the Russian Head coach Sergey Ovechkin made some substitutions and this helped more arrangement of the defense and block so Nigeria led 14-13. Ijigba did well in spiking from position 4 and also Adamu but the Algerian stars regain their performance and settled the situation by winning the set 25-20 and the match in straight sets. [...]

Début 20h30. Environ 300 spectateurs (estimation), public 'chaud' mais correct.
Premier set emporté par MV13 par 25-19 !
2e set beaucoup plus serré, 13-13 actuellement (21h18). 2e set perdu 25-23 (21h33).
3e set perdu 25-18 (22h10). C'est très serré, Vannes joue bien, nous un peu moins bien.
4e set perdu 25-21, on perd le match 3-1. L'équipe a du mal à jouer à son niveau sans Ali.
On perd une place au classement pour se retrouver 6e - un point derrière Canteleu que nous recevons samedi prochain ! |

Très bons résultats pour les jeunes pousses de Marseille Volley 13 avec au total 7 victoires pour seulement 2 défaites. A noter la 1ère participation à un tournoi pour Alexandre PASCAL-OCANA et Julian FIELD. Les enfants ont pris beaucoup de plaisir ainsi que les parents - que nous remercions pour leur présence. Et pour conclure le tournoi, nous avons tous été au restau : enfants, parents et supporters !! Bravo et merci à tous !!!

Ouf c'est fait, le maintien est assuré mais que ce fut dur !!! encore que comme le disait quelqu'un que j'ai bien connu "tout ce qu'on fait, se fait dans la douleur" alors... on a l'habitude !!
Malgré la réception de GRENOBLE à bois luzy donc à l'extérieur, et, en dépit de la pression du manager grenoblois se plaignant du parquet présentant un dénivelé en fond de terrain (on a même vu des joueurs grenoblois s'évertuer à sauter dessus dans le but de casser les lames de parquet), le but étant je pense de gagner le match par décision de l'arbitre.
Malgré tout, le match débute en trombe pour nos joueurs qui emportent le 1er set 25/17 Après c'est un long calvaire avec une récep hésitante et GRENOBLE prend les 2ème et 3ème sets alors quand débute le 4ème set c'est un peu la soupe à la grimace chez nos joueurs et puis, tout à coup, la machine repart et, malgré un retour isérois en fin de set , nous remportons le 4ème set 25/23.
Le dernier set est une formalité, et , porté par le public en " folie " c'est PICOLLI qui malgré sa blessure (ligament de cheville) conclue cette rencontre 15/7 et cette saison .
Quand même il y a des saisons comme celle- ci où dont on se serait passé retour en arrière :
SEPTEMBRE: ali KERBOUA notre recrue sensée nous apporter de la stabilité en réception, tarde à entrer motif son président de club ne veut pas le lacher et, malgré un voyage express de notre président à ALGER, rien n'y fait ali reste à ALGER.
NOVEMBRE : CASTRO se blesse à ST QUENTIN diagnostique : rupture des ligaments croisés, saison terminée.
DECEMBRE : le 9 à AJACCIO, alors que nous sommes dans le 5ème set et à 13/13, PICOLLI ressent une douleur à la cuisse et ne veut plus de ballons, nous perdons 15/ 13. Diagnostique : déchirure il manquera plus d'un mois.
JANVIER : à ST LOUIS c'est CESAIRE qui va faire un tour ( là aussi plus d'un mois ) à l'infirmerie.
MARS le 10 à GRENOBLE yan LEONARD est transparent on apprendra plus tard que non seulement sa saison est finie mais aussi que sa jeune carrière (prometteuse) de volleyeur s'est terminée sur le parquet de malherbe.
Alors quand en play down à ST LOUIS, au premier point du premier set PICOLLI se blesse, nous sommes blasés.
Il ne restait plus qu'a battre GRENOBLE pour se sauver. L'opération commando mise en place pour le match aller s'étant avérée efficace, (3/0) il restait à conclure chez nous la suite vous la connaissez. |

Bien évidemment la déception est grande au sortir des rencontres face à SAINT LOUIS. Dur de se dire que la décision s'est faite au cours du premier set le samedi, perdu 26/24 malgré la blessure de PICOLLI , blessure intervenue à 1/0 dans ce même premier set.
Quel aurait été le capital confiance des ludoviciens s'ils avaient perdu ce set ?
On ne le saura jamais alors, oublions vite et consacrons nous sur les rencontres capitales face à GRENOBLE.
Nous aurons l'avantage (petit) de recevoir au match retour et d'avoir un éventuel match d'appui toujours chez nous. Il faudra que VALLIER soit le plus plein possible et le plus vivant aussi pour bousculer cette équipe de GRENOBLE qu'il ne faudra surtout pas négliger.
Alors, MOBILISEZ VOUS APPELEZ VOS POTES, VOS PARENTS, VOTRE GRAND MERE SI VOUS LE VOULEZ!!!!! mais venez samedi 26 mai à VALLIER l'entrée sera GRATUITE.
Le match aller à Grenoble samedi 19 aura une grande importance et même si PICOLLI sera absent, nous avons les moyens de nous imposer et, si certains voulaient nous accompagner, qu'ils n'hesitent pas à pratiquer y compris le co-voiturage GRENOBLE n'est qu'a 3 heures de MARSEILLE. Nous attendions un match crispant après la défaite face à SAINT NAZAIRE, et aussi en raison de la valeur de l'adversaire : CHAUMONT 3ème de ce championnat. Pour l'occasion vallier s'est transformé en la "bombonera" de buenos aires, banderoles et papelitos, à l'entrée des joueurs marseillais accompagnés de la classe de baby volley. Après un hommage émouvant à Alexandre CASTRO, les hostilités débutaient avec des phocéens bien dans leur match qui remportaient le 1er set 25/11.les chaumontais réagissaient à l'occasion du 2eme set et au bout d'un terrible chassé croisé nos couleurs s'imposaient 25/23. Scénario identique au cours du 3ème set sauf que ce sont les chaumontais qui remportaient la manche 25/22. Le 4ème set identique au deux précédents maintenait un suspense terrible sur vallier mais dans le "money time" nos marseillais se détachaient littéralement et portés par leur public, empochaient le gain du set 25/20. Embrassades, public debout joueurs et dirigeants submergés de bonheur, bref un Vallier des grands soirs. Plus tard, chez les amis david et jonhson à l'indigo café, et accompagnés du meilleur supporter qui soit : PAPET J c'est à coup de "fajitas" et autres cervezas que les marseillais reprirent les calories abandonnés sur le parquet de Vallier. |

A tout faire je vais commencer par l’équipe de pré nationale qui avec sa victoire sur MARTIGUES, 3/0 (26/24 25/14 26/24) a pratiquement assuré sa montée en 3ème division. Encore faudra t il battre à l’occasion des 3 journées restantes les équipes classées actuellement 6ème, 7ème et 8ème ; Largement faisable mais bon, nous attendrons la dernière journée !!! L’équipe pro elle, se déplaçait à SAINT NAZAIRE, auréolée de ses deux dernières victoires. Hélas, malgré 2 sets de bonne facture notre équipe s’est inclinée face à un adversaire solide porté par un public nombreux et extrêmement correct dont les fanatics de CHAUMONT aurait bon goût de s’inspirer !! Mais basta !! revenons au match : un premier set serré, avec malheureusement des décisions arbitrales incompréhensibles comme une défense éffectuée en manchette par stéphane et considérée « portée », derriere 3 points et set plié ! un 2ème set inquiétant pour nos couleurs avec un PICOLLI transparent , et puis un 3ème set plein d’espérance avec FARJAUDON remplaçant PICOLLI et qui emmène la percussion qui nous faisait défaut jusque là. Hélas bien que menant 16/11 puis 20/17, rien n’a pu empêcher les nazairiens de revenir au score pour s’imposer au final 26/24. Reste une semaine pour oublier cette déconvenue et repartir de l’avant . Mais parions que Emmanuel DUMORTIER , n’aura pas à forcer son talent pour motiver ses troupes pur accueillir CHAUMONT. |

Encore une soirée à marquer d'une pierre blanche, malgré une défaite de nos espoirs face à AIX UC.Sur le coup de 17h, notre équipe réserve, entamait son sprint vers la nationale 3 en accueillant MARSEILLE EST. Avec un libéro de luxe en la personne de Emmanuel DUMORTIER, palliant la défection de Romain MARTINEZ; la victoire fut sans appel :un cinglant 3/0 concluant les débats. A noter la prestation de notre libéro malgré quelques déplacements peu académiques !! 20h00 : La salle vallier offrait une "standing ovation" à yannick SALVETTI, en partance pour le beach volley. 4 sets plus tard, la salle vallier se dressait à nouveau pour acclamer ses joueurs qui après les 2 premiers sets accrochés, démontaient carrément leurs homologues dunkerquois dans les 3ème et 4ème manches 25/15, et, 25/16. C'est bien une toute autre équipe de MARSEILLE qu'au match aller comme le préssentait l'entraîneur de DUNKERQUE: Gael BOLLENGIER. En tout état de cause, une équipe armée pour les joutes à venir. |
